A versatile performer on guitar, bass, and drums, multi-instrumentalist Chris Spilsbury is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston and has studied privately with renowned guitarists Wayne Krantz and Mick Goodrick. Chris has worked with many evocative and eclectic international artists in his career, including Grammy-winning virtuoso jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara, bassists Steve Jenkins and Tony Grey, Grammy-nominated composer Chris Opperman, film and television composers Frank Machia, Evan Beigel, Francisco Pancho Burgos Goizueta, and Scott Emerson, and more. Chris has performed with Grammy-nominee and CCM artist clinician Shoji Kameda, a master taiko drummer, and in 2015 he played guitar for the acclaimed revival of the The Who’s iconic rock opera Tommy, mounted by the nation’s premier Asian American theatre company, East West Players.
A veteran music educator, Chris has helped to pen the guitar curriculum at California College of Music, and is pleased to share his passion for popular music education with guitar, bass, and drum students.
