housing placement services
For incoming students who require assistance locating housing resources, we offer a Housing Placement Service to make the transition into college life as smooth as possible. To ensure housing is secured by the time your program starts, we recommend completing the Housing Placement Application at least 3 months prior to your start date. The fee for our Housing Placement Service is $250.
California College of Music's Housing Placement Service only facilitates placing a student in housing. The execution of the rental agreement is the the responsibility of the student and the property owner. Any and all monthly rent payments must be paid promptly by the student to the property owner according to the rental agreement. California College of Music does not collect or disburse housing payments on behalf of students or property owners. All policies and procedures related to housing are at the sole discretion of the property owner or manager.

homestays ($700-$1000)
Homestays are the most popular housing option for our students. CCM matches the student with a family from a local Pasadena neighborhood, and the family provides an inexpensive room for rent. Home-cooked meals may be included in the total cost if desired. All homestay families on our roster are pre-screened to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for the student. Estimated monthly rent is as follows:
Homestay without meals: $700-$900
Homestay with meals: $800-$1200

apartments ($900-$1400)
Apartments are available for students who prefer to live alone. CCM can provide assistance in locating studio or one bedroom apartments. Estimated monthly rent is as follows:
Studio Apartments: $900-$1200 per month (not including security deposit)
One Bedroom Apartments: $1100-$1400 month (not including security deposit)
It is recommended that you first submit an Online Application for Admission to California College of Music before beginning your Housing Placement Application.
Since housing in Los Angeles County is highly competitive, many places sell out fairly quickly. We strongly recommend completing this application no sooner than 1-2 months prior to your program start date.
